Charlie Brooker on Jade Goody's Media Coverage

I really like his way of viewing things, but one aspect is funny: he was bashing the more "serious" newspapers for jumping on the Jade Goody train by asking what her popularity and death meant in terms of modern culture, media and the way we perceive it. But he's doing exactly the same himself. Yeah, there were papers who just gossiped and concealed it as serious contemplation. But many did see the fascination with Goody (not Goody herself) as a media phenomenon - much like Brooker himself.

Once again Charlie totally hits the nail on the head. The tabloids really changed their tune and forgot all about what Jade did in the past. Although I hated Jade Goody, I don't believe she was racist and I wasn't glad when she died. But the fact the newspapers performed such an enormous u-turn is ridiculous.

apparently, it only takes 54 comments for the whole discussion to disintegrate. but thats internet chat for you.
I'd just like to point out that all internet discussion, ever, is completely futile. people will say whatever they like if they hide behind a computer screen because there are no consquences or repercussions.
my question is: who is goody supposed to be in celebrity stars in their eyes?
