Here are a bunch of Spectator Mode matches. Astoundingly, after two Final Destination battles, only one of whom was serious, I got myself a bunch of non Final Destination matches in a row, and in all of them, people chose to fight as the game wants them to. I've never seen such a streak like this before, really. Normally, I need to wait about 40 minutes before I even see a match that isn't Final Destination.
Match #1
Zelda - Pokémon Trainer (Ivysaur) - Lucas - Olimar
Temple
Astounding! A match on Temple where people are actually fighting. The MVP in this match is definitely Pokémon Trainer with that Ivysaur. It's not very often at all that I find a player who specializes in Pokémon Trainer. He beat up Olimar with barely a scratch, took out Zelda with the Triple Finish, and KOed Zelda again at the very last moment after switching out to Charizard. Of course, not all the highlights go to that Ivysaur; there was some pretty clever use of the Transform move to doge all of the PK Starstorm meteors effortlessly.
Match #2
Kirby - Link - Snake - Snake
PictoChat
Kirby sucked in one of the Snakes at the beginning, and the three of them proceeded to chuck grenades around all over the place. Link, feeling left out, decided to beat up the Snakes who are so high and mighty that they don't feel like they need to fight seriously. You'll never guess who got the most points by the end. Hey! You peeked!
Match #3
Wolf - Sonic - Yoshi - Pokémon Trainer (Squirtle)
Pokémon Stadium 2
Well, that's no way to use the Pokémon Trainer. You can't just start out with Ivysaur, then switch to Charizard and then to Squirtle. You need to be able to make good use of all three of them! Each Pokémon individually can't stand up to other characters by itself; it needs to pull on the strengths of the other two to succeed. I could see from this match that there was quite a bit of button lag though. Seen at normal speed, it looks like everybody has the reaction time of a diplodocus.
Match #4
Luigi - Marth - Ike - ROB
Bridge of Eldin
The highlight of this match is definitely after Marth got the Timer to slow everyone else down: Rushing at Ike as the apparent easiest target, Ike used a super-slow Counter and KOed Marth. The two Fire Emblem players here were pretty Counter-happy. Odd that neither one grabbed each other and were content to Counter away. The aftermath of that highlight is equally amusing: After a Counter war, Marth just decides to attack and returns the favor by KOing Ike.
i may ask, why a ike photo at the ending sudennly? thats scary tough.........¿entiendes mendes?
