damn Judo Gene Lebells old training partner Vic Christy actually had a great match with Lou Thesz, and its on youtube !!!!!!!!! now if thats not Catch as Catch Can I dont know what is,,,,,,, Bruce Lee may have not emphasized the grappling but he trained it ,,,,

JKD was and is MMA,,JUDO GENE LEBELL learned under Ed Strangler Lewis,,He trained with Vic Christy who was in youtube a match against Lou Thesz. Gene taught Roddy Pipper, and Bruce Lee ,,so I guess Bruce was Catch as Catch Can,,also Bruce dabbled in college wrestling ,,so their you go.

The guys that live in America are so lucky to have such guys training them. I would kill to train under someone like Erik Paulson, or even one of his students. Alas I live in Australia and a move is out of the question for now. Awesome place, best wishes.
