"the life you think you had" READ DISCRIPTION

So this is a teaser for a story I've been developing for a while. Keep in mind this is NOT a Terabithia/Percy Jackson/Lovely Bones vid, I'm using the actors to represent my characters.

CAST:
James: Josh Hutcherson
Emily: AnnaSophia Robb
Bex: Saoirse Ronan
Lewis: Logan Lerman
Isabella: Bailee Madison
Samantha: Mackenzie Foy

STORY:
James (Josh Hutcherson) and Emily (AnnaSophia Robb) have been best friends since the early stages of grade school. Both loners alienated from their families, the two form a bond far deeper than most children their age. On Emily's thirteenth birthday, she, James and her parents are in a car crash which everyone except for Emily survives. Five years later, James is still wrestling with his grief, much to the everlasting frustration and worry of his devoted younger sister Isabella (Bailee Madison). Travel back in time to 1977 - Lewis (Logan Lerman) a fifteen year old with no father and a distant mother, meets Rebecca, or Bex (Saoirse Ronan) a new girl who has moved into the neighborhood from Ireland. Bex shares a similar situation to his own and the two bond, although the friendship doesn't save Bex like it does Lewis. Six months after meeting, on the evening Lewis sums up the courage to tell his friend he's fallen in love with her, Bex commits suicide.

Years later Lewis has not found a way to cope with his loss, and throws himself into the quantum mechanical theory of the possibility of creating alternate realities. He at last succeeds, but discovers that a series of mistakes and chance encounters with James and his family have created a world in which Emily, not Bex, survives. The life the two friends could have had plays out, resulting in a daughter of their own, named Samantha. As time passes and paths cross, Samantha finds herself both without parents and in a world where her mother never even survived to give birth to her. And beyond all of these realms lies Wonderland, a place behind the looking-glass where the dead remain alive...and Emily and Bex watch their loved ones from behind the opaque wall of an imaginary prison controlled by an ancient evil who forced their deaths upon them. And the only one with the ability to free them and set the world right is a little girl with dark hair and her mother's eyes...
