Alex discusses the 4 elements to playing trombone while in studio taping trombone lessons for StarsTeachMusic. Check out all his lessons at www.starsteachmusic.com.
Practicing musicians / learners, if you could fill out my easy 4 question survey for my research project it would be much appreciated. The link is in the info of my video called practicing musicians thanks.
@alexbelliveau1990 While Alex is an excellent all around trombonist, wonderful as a jazz player (also I believe the principal trombone of an orchestra in Long Beach?), and one hell of a nice guy on top of it all, I'm pretty sure Goodwin's main bone soloist is Andy Martin, also a terrific jazz player. One of my favorites for sound and shape of his lines
He is the solo trombone in Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band. He is a great trombonist. And these days, digital sources are becoming more popular for everything, so why not music lessons too?
very nice, I agree; Arnold Jacobs the Tubist also taught to make problems simple, never encumber anything;

I'm not sure on all the solos. I know he had one in there somewhere, but yeah, they are all great players, and great influences.

It is a bad idea because when it come to 16th notes and double tonguing you'll be in a bad spot.
