Yes, this is the same Bobby Sherman who had several hits starting in 1969 and lasting into the early 1970s. He got his first major exposure as a regular on "Shindig". However, he didn't have any hit records resulting from these appearances. In the late 1960s, he got an acting role on a series called "Here Come the Brides", and it was as a result of this that he became noticed by young girls who then bought his records.

The Jerk was a hugely popular dance from around 1964 through 1966. It spawned a few songs about it. When I saw the title "The Jerk", I thought it was going to be the song by that title that was a hit by a male r&b group called the Larks. Instead, it is actually "Come on Do the Jerk", which was a hit by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. "Keep Searching" was a hit for Del Shannon in 1964.

I barely remember this show. Bobby sure was cute! Even with all the make-up (eyebrows).
