Part 1 of 2. We talk to Enson Inoue, one of the most famous figures in Japanese MMA. In this first part, we learn about Enson's beginnings in Hawaii and Japan and how going to prison for marijuana possession helped him to appreciate his life.

Made by Matt Benyon with the help of Dean Marchand and Dan Herbertson.

Part 2 will cover Enson's pilgrimages to Shikoku island, and his work in the Tohoku region that was devastated by a tsunami earlier in the year.

  • whens part 2 coming?

  • Did he mention his relationship with Kid Yamamoto at all?

  • Great stuff as always Matt! Big fan of Enson! If i had one critisism it would be that the background music was too much in parts and kind of lost/hard to hear what Enson was saying. Cheers!

  • Thanks..didn't sound Japanese..lol!

  • Striking interview as always but do you consider that the music is going bit too loud at times?

  • great interview! one day they're probably gonna make a movie about this guy, he's such an interesting character
