Health freedoms in Canada could be in jeopardy unless Canadians continue to act assertively for their health freedoms. Canadian bill C51, which was recently dropped, would have put virtually all-natural supplements such as vitamins, minerals and herbal products in the hands of doctors and drug companies. This would have meant that Canadians would no longer have access to either supplements or information about supplements. Bill C51 came dangerously close to passing and Canada Health would have had sweeping powers to ban natural supplements at will. Canadian Health Freedoms were at stake and their battle is not over. Canadians must continue to let Canada Health know that access to natural supplements is important to them and worth fighting for. Canadian drug companies, as in many countries want to keep control over all substances including natural supplements. This would only drive the pricing higher and the quality down. Canada Health says its goal is to protect Canadians, but by denying access to these important supplements, they are doing just the opposite. Bill C51 could have been a disaster and Canadians must not sit back now, but keep their movement for freedom of health supplements alive. Canada Health will always side with the major drug companies, just as other regulatory agencies have done in other countries. Supplements in Canada are important and the though of being without the freedom to access these proven products is unheard of but could happen if another bill like C51 makes its way towards law. If you are a Canadian, this should be an important issue to you, even if you have never taken a dietary supplement before. It is the principle, the concept of more and more government control over your health care and your access to natural supplements in Canada that have shown to be beneficial in the prevention and even management of a wide variety of health challenges.

I do not live in Canada, but i have had an ENORMOUS amount of success with a natural supplement that is from Canada. EMPowerPlus from a company called True Hope. It has enabled me to be able to forgo the use of antidepressants. This has been especially helpful for me since i have been pregnant and breastfeeding for most of the last 6 years (3 kids age 5yrs to 8mo). I know this is an old post - just thought i would say i support the natural products
