What happened was a long time ago a pirateship crashed and the helm of the boat was a devils head,which was washed up through the cave ,when some locals heard the sea and storm and crash and went down theres they saw a devils head,hence they thought it was the devil and hence the name devils hole

I live quite close it. It literally is that hole. There is a devil statue on the path down, but nothing special.

However I dont understand..Is there a devil statue still down there or not?

There still is a devil statue down there it's just well hard to get to. I saw it this summer.

Yeah... the REAL Jersey... Devil's hole really isn't very impressive and the walk back to your car is a bitch... but at least there's a pub there too !!! :D

no, it was just there for tourists i think. then they moved it up n put it in the middle of a pond, but people kept throwing stones at it n it started to fall back, then last time i saw it, it was in the devils hole pub car park n me n my mates were jumping up n down on it. Could be sum historic thing to the name i dunno, but i doubt it. most satanic rubbish that happens in jersey happens at gronez where a bunch of weirdos go round sacrificing crows to sum pegan god
