  • i'd say if you just keep building up your speed when going round a corner then eventually it will come naturally. though practicing cross overs does help :)

  • @Mr1FineDay ITA

  • I just tried putting a skate in front of the other and it wokred kinda right away on decent speed.

  • This drill is a lot easier in SHOES!

  • @thisdudesacoolguy agreed, just do it, fall a few times (wear safety thingies) and learn, this looks like crap.

one exercise that does help imo is try standing on 1 leg for as long as you can

  • well the best thing to do for boosting your confidence on crossovers is to keep practising while you are skating ...no amount of that type of crossovers is going to replicate the real thing so your balance is totaly diferent ...you cant practice the lean in an lay over if you are not moving ....

  • I disagree. It might not get the exact lean, but it helps because it provides confidence in the crossover movement of the skates. It makes the skater more comfortable lifting their skate and bringing it over.

  • this does nothin for learning to do crossovers , not with the skates on because you cant lean properly ...do it with out skates and you will get more out of thr training .....(former short track speed skater)

  • this is a jock

  • good tip!
