Hank your killing me! That isn't how the Bernoulli principle works, it is a common misconception! The main point which that explanation relies on is that "the air molecule on top must reconnect with the air molecules on the bottom." But, well, they don't. They could very well just float off in a completely different direction. So there is more to it. The real way it works is in fact... hopelessly complicated... but it has something to do with whirlpools.
