Wow, thats really good.
I like the fluidity of your single sword dance, very, very good. probably the best fire sword i've seen.

Was it heavily influenced by a specific marshal art of mostly improvisation?

My primary art it Filipino kali (escrima/arnis). But the sword itself is a Chinese broadsword and too heavy to moved around in the typical kali patterns. So it is a combination of kali and wushu-like (I would not claim any proficiency) circular movement that fit the sword weight best.

Sorry for the late reply - if it means anything to you, review basic "pendulum theory" from elementary physics. It says that the weight and length of the pendulum/weapon define a specific time period - trying to move a weapon faster (or slower) than dictated by that period results in awkward movement. Hope that helps.
