  • And please don't run to another verse and quote it of context!! I will only show you your error again! Stop fighting against the Holy Ghost, you will only lose in the end my friend.

  • (E.)…However, our works do not admit us into the Father's presence. Jesus Christ's sacrifice does; the sin and trespass offering precede us. If we could BE SAVED by our works: Who would need Christ? Our works would be sufficient to redeem and save ourselves. My friend we need to thank God humbly for His gracious providence that enables us all along the way.

  • (C.)… but in the sense that his ministry fail short of receiving what he calls a prize (vs.24) which is a crown (vs.25). Read Vss. 16-18. Note vs.17 “I have a reward” also not vs. 18 “What is my reward then?” Paul is talking about suffering a lost for no fully preaching the gospel as he has been mandated by God. This all corn-side with what he wrote about the judgment Seat of Christ and the believer’s works being judged to decide his or her rewards based on their works.

  • (B.)…One wins a prize my friend. Salvation is not a prize one can win, salvation is a free gift of grace (Eph.2:8-9, note the same author). Paul is talking about the rewards that God has laid up for those who engage in ministry. The term castaway in verse 27 is in no wise imply that Paul can lose hi salvation. The term castaway is the same as ‘rejected’, not in the sense of eternal salvation,

  • @jedaiah777 (A.)1Corinthians 9:27, Most people who read this assume that Paul had his own salvation in mind, that is, he could lose it. (That is an assumption on the part of the reader). However if ONE would reread the whole text, they must conclude that Paul is speaking of his own disqualification from Christian ministry, and not losing His salvation. Note verse 24 Paul convey his ministry as one that runs in a race to obtain a prize.
