Rarely heard, this Bill Monroe tune was recorded live @ the Bean Blossom Blue Grass Festival in 1979 with Bill Monroe & the Blue Grass Boys. Personnel:
Kenny Baker - fiddle
Bill Monroe - mandolin
Butch Robins- banjo
Wayne Lewis - guitar
Randy Davis - bass
Heart and soul, note by note. No one else can do it but Kenny Baker.

Probably would have sounded a lot better if Kenny Baker would have written it. Sounds like a lot of other songs MON-roe wrote.

Certainly a one of Bill's great tunes -- and not often played enough I think. I also have a feeling that this number would have been greatly improved with a mandolin or banjo break. Three complete times through on the same instrument gets a little tedious even with world class fiddler like old Kenny. Its kind of interesting though because Bill did not usually do that.

Now, that's some powerful fiddlin' by Kenneth Baker. That man could pull some tone.
