"Monday sees the publication of a biography of Mohammed Ali Jinnah which challenges the way we in India have seen the founder of Pakistan. It reassess Nehru's role in Partition, it sheds fresh light on the relationship between the Mahatma Gandhi and Jinnah.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Jaswant Singhs book is likely to attract considerable attention and may be even a fair amount of controversy. Karan Thapar, in a special two-part interview with the author, discusses the book with Singh, a former defence, foreign and finance minister of India and also a former soldier........"

  • @NEVERLAND1985 To say more than sixty years after Pakistan was formed, whether Jinnah Saab was less responsible for its formation, admits that it was an error to have done so. Muslims got a separate state but unfortunately linguistic divisions proved more powerful than religious bonds. My brother in India wrote a a poem runnibg as - 'Bhai ne Bhai ko mara; agar shaitan ka nahin saath, to zurur hai shaitan ka ishara; Kalma pado dubara, Kalma pado dubara.'. Islam should abolish tribal trends.

  • @NEVERLAND1985 I am one of those Indian Muslims who feels that Pakistan should not have been formed as it divided the Muslims of the subcontinent. Muslims of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh number nearly 300 million and in undivided India they would have been about 35% of the population. With such a large minority Muslims would have had a stronger role in democratic India. Perhaps we could not see that far. After these floods I pray feudalism in Pakistan gets tackled - its time for that.

  • @attida

may be an-unforced error on his part ... he's an old man you see :)

But lots to learn from him. We can do at least that much so people like him wouldn't have done it all in vain before they die.

  • @11BlueWolf11

Yes indeed .. honorable man .. great administrator .. NOT another cheap politician that we see these days.

  • At 3:49 he says Jinnah created nothing out of something. How true it is for Pakistan. LOL.

  • wht A STUPID ANCHOR...AS We all know Jinnah is man of great personality and we accept similar is case with Mahatma Gandhi..despite of fact wht we are...this anchor repeatedly ask five time did u admire Jinnah..did u like Jinnah ....wht the hell is wrong with man..he wrote whole book to admire him...

  • @shaan5262 He achieved with democracy.

  • @Babukollam Bull shit, Jinnah never wanted to be a prime minister, even Pm-ship was offered to him, he refused.

  • how fuckin dare u indns call Qaida-Azam evil. i dont giv a shit if u r a hindu and you view the land of pakistan as your belonging which it isnt cuz it belong to the people who live there and from those people i never seen any1 sayin that the creation of pakistan was wrong so the owner of the land fuckin says that it was right then who the fuck are you. land never belong to any religion or any person it belong to the people who live on it out siders dont fuckin giv advice on what is right n bad
