Cab Ride on CSX K920 and More!

This was footage captured on November 22, 2008 from the cab of CSX K920. We had 58 loads of limestone. Our loads were getting frozen, therefore causing problems unloading. We called it quits early this day. Our power was CSXT 545 and 7359.

As for the derailment, what happened is as follows. CSX N849 lead by CSXT 480 and 536, derailed 20 cars in downtown Kent under the Crane Avenue bridge on 11-18-08 (not 11-20-08, like the press says) for unknown causes. It dislodged the bridge one inch, and the bridge will need replaced. The cars and dumped coal have been moved off the mainline tracks, until they can be removed in Spring. For now, both mains are back to being open, and the memories of a devastating accident still remains trackside. No-one was injured in the derailment. Enjoy!

what is the bell button for ? it seems he pressed it after hearing message on radio.didn't hear horn sound so it aint that ? or is it, and why do u move the lever then move it back then power on again, what is that lever is it throttle ? thanks i am not an engineer obviously

That lever is the Independent Brake.

The bell button activates and shuts off the bell. The bell can also be activated by blowing the horn, then can be shut off with the bell button.
