I was struck by a an 18 wheeler tractor trailer during the course of work when I was employed as an RN Hospice Case Manager. The hospital bill is still on my credit report and I was denied worker's compensation for over 1 year. I was head of the household and was denied medical assistance for myself and my 4 year old son as well as being denied cash and food assistance. Chips refused my son healthcare because my income was too low. I didn't have any income. My house went into foreclusure. I wasn't treated by neurologists. I have a cervical disc impinging on my nerve root causing excruciating pain and is abutting my spinal cord. I also have herniations from the thoracic verterbrae all the way to the sacral vertebrae displacing the S-1 nerve. Bucks County Assistance Office worker, Mr. Donohue, told me to get a job.

I always try to look at things like they could be worse and I take one day at a time. During one of my facet injections, scoliosis was present. So, now that is another diagnosis. As long as my pain can be controlled, I can deal with it. Thanks for commenting.

It shocks the shit out of me about USA health care, WHat a joke, glad I live in the UK, would not give up the NHS for any thing, how the hell can a countries goverement sit back and lets people die due to no insurance. Insurance no way anyone should pay for health care period..And the goverement tell usa people that National health service is a socialist dictatorship scheme, never heard so much bullshit in my life.. NHS in UK is for the people.
