"Energy independence"?
You know better than that, you and Tom both, along your colleague Rep. Bartlett.
We're not going to just swap out oil and gas with "renewables" like wind.
I'll believe in "Energy independence" when the U.S. cuts its consumption in half.
The days of easy motoring are OVER. Try being straight with the people about the coming energy scarcity. Then we can talk about adaptations.
