A devastating earthquake in Turkey killed hundreds of people and made tens of thousands homeless on Sunday 23 October 2011.
The Turkish Red Crescent has been working around the clock since the earthquake struck on Sunday, rescuing survivors and distributing life-saving essentials such as tents, stoves, sleeping bags, food and water.
Homeless survivors are facing nights sleeping outside in freezing temperatures.
As rescue workers continue to search for people trapped in the rubble, funds are now desperately needed to help provide shelter, including tents and blankets, for survivors.
Please give what you can today at http://www.redcross.org.uk/turkeyearthquake

In the unlikely event that we raise more money than can be reasonably and efficiently spent, any surplus funds will be used to help us prepare for and respond to other humanitarian disasters anywhere in the world.
Shame on you, making politics from innocent victims of an act of nature

@elenanicol Now, not right after it happened, quite crucial difference for the people buried under rubble that didnt make it because of this ridiculous delay.
