This song is by one of my mom's favorite folk singers. The song is about being lonely without a person after leaving. This is 7th season and Lorelai is thinking about Luke after she has broken up with him and realizing she needs to be with him. It's not really sad or happy. This is a really beautiful song and I thought it fit Lorelai in this time. Please comment. Enjoy.

  • Such a beautiful video! I always love when videos include black and white clips, and this video was no exception! Great job with matching the lyrics to the clips. Overall, it was a great mixture of both sad and happy clips. =)

  • Thank you for commenting. I thought this song was so beautiful and it reminded me of Lorelai in seventh season.

  • lovely song. And I am NOT a country fan. This is in a different class of emotion completely.... almost bluesy, brutally honest.

  • To me, the most poignant line in this song is:

"No-one ever knows the heart of anyone else"

    ...how true that is!

  • love gilmore girls n i love the song its great

  • I would never call Nanci a country singer. She is much more than that. She is an excellent interpreter of others songs as well as a good folk singer, songwriter and balladeer. While some of her songs can seem to be country, The country crowd has never really embraced her anyway. Can you believe that she was invited to the Grand Old Opry in 2003 for the first time? That is 25 years after she started. She is much better than country.

  • i cant fine "you made this love a teardrop "on here...can anyone post plz? would love to see on youtube

  • damn fine tune

  • Nancy Griffith: one of the greatest country singers ever!
