LG Mike LOWW

  • @lederercAT I thought student without the private ticket is only PIC during solo flights and the actual flight in the practical test?

  • Take offs and landings are the hardest part to learn. Some learn it quicker than others. Besides following your standard procedures and watching your instruments, alot of its a feeling for it. After about 15 hours my takeoffs and landings got much better. Got to be ready with the right rudder as soon as you push the throttle up, compensate for that tourque and prop wash.

  • Wow! That was a poorly flown takeoff. I give you a-lot of credit for not taking over on her.

  • Not a very safe take off - acutally I as an instrucor would not have stayed as calm as you did!

  • Owned.

  • My eyes are glued to the asi when i hear that bloody stall warner!

  • The stall warning always goes off when you rotate around 55. It always creeps out (me) the pilot and the passengers. Even when you rotate at faster speeds it goes off. Best deal is to just let the 40 gently lift off on it's own. I have bou-coup hours in the DA-20 and 40. Incredible aircraft, they are fun, safe and very forgiving. One of these days I'll post a spin in the 20!

  • right rudder! right rudder! ;)

    nice vid btw :)

  • not-so-great takeoff. but practice makes perfect :-)
