This video shows you the process of loading custom firmware onto a PSP 3000 with official firmware version 5.03. First of all, I used a one click modified Chickhen R2 enabler, then loaded custom firmware Gen-C, and then updated to Prometheus-3 v2. From there I loaded a version 5.03 kernel exploit, which means that every time I turn my PSP off, even though all the custom firmware and Chickhen R2 enabler is lost, I can get it all back by loading the exploit in the XMB.

5.03 Kernel Exploit (PSP Slim) http://www.mediafire.com/?y20az6lahy8dcyd#1

Step By Step Guide:

1. Make sure you are running official firmware version 5.03.

2. Enter USB mode.

3. Download the files given above, and put the folders in their respective places, as shown in the video.

4. Quit USB mode and restore your deffault settings and disable UMD cache and auto usb, do not create any nickname and choose the english language.

5. Open the picture folder and let the Chickhen load.

6. After your PSP reboots into 5.03 Chickhen R2 mode, install 5.03 Gen-C full by holding L trigger upon load up.

7. Now launch the custom firmware by going through the on screen steps.

8. Now you will be running 5.03 Gen-C (Full).

9. Now, when you need to shutdown your PSP you wont need to go through the long process again.

10. This time you are going to launch the custom firmware in a much more time efficient way - by loading the ''5.03 kxploit'' in the game XMB.

11. This will start and bring you back on XMB and the great thing is that you don't need load 5.03 Gen-C Full anymore. Everytime you shutdown, you will just need to open "5.03 kxploit" and it will automaticly put you back to the custom firmware you were on, and it saves a lot of time!

12. Now reboot and you can choose you language and your username.

13. Do not touch PHOTO folder and do not uninstall Gen-C Full otherwise you are going to need to repeat the process.

14. Enjoy the CFW , please comment, like and subscribe!

  • Does it owrk whit version 6.60?

  • que vercion de prometeus es ?

    5.03 Prometheus3-4?

  • Thumbs Up for the uploader's guide!!!!

  • This very good. I made the whole process and I can confirm to delete the photos Chiken R2, GEN-C Full and Prometheus. I just let the 5.03 KXploit. I turn off the PSP, take out the battery, put the battery back on the PSP, run the 5.03 KXploit, and automatically I have GEN-C Full again. I do not need the R2 Chiken, the GEN-C and Prometheus. Thank you.

  • Why the picture .. unsupported data ? :(

  • Well, it works fine, just a note: It just work for me for the first time of all process when i did it with 100% of battery. After that i use exploit with 26% and works fine. My question is, why it show 5.03 Prome-3 when you say that is Prometheus 4? If i want to stay in Gen-C, is just i run it and run exploit again, or i have to made all process?

    Thanks.

  • thanks for this bro. really help me a lot!

  • @boxeurS60 Oh okay, so it lags if you have a slow internet connection? Sorry.
