AFAIK, Rita's not on this album, corrections are welcome on that part, but it's Joan Baez for sure on this fab track. Great excuse to hear it again, thanks! :-)

Hmm, good question. I'll admit I don't know much about Dylan, but I've never thought of him as a womanizing liar like this bad boy, or did I miss out on that stuff? If this *is* about anyone in particular, Kris and Shel kept it to themselves, as well they should! :-) The Taker's just a more modern variant of the Silver-Tongued Devil anyway, am I right, ladies? *That* guy at the end of the bar, the smoothie who'll take you for everything before he's done. And we fall for 'em every time.
