Great playing on a very cool piece. Is this music available? I'd like to play it.

This is THE perfect piece to define jazz and bassoon fused together.
FIRST...you need a bassoonist that_KNOWS_What jazz is. By that I mean- can SWING and phrase. No hiding behind that BS that your playing jazz on a bassoon. HENCE~ RAY PIZZI. His roots are there. You can hear years of experience in jazz that was brought to the table WITH use of the bassoon in jazz. Mancini knew this and ran with it. The bassoon swings- and has jazz time. THIS IS THE REAL THING.

WoW, what I shock to hear this again! The last time, I was seated 20 feet behind you as you made this recording 5 years ago - we flew out of Phoenix @ 5:PM for the 7:PM concert. I still talk about the tribute concert as if it was yesterday! ! ! I agree with all the other compliments -Bravo signore ! ! ! !

Henry allows me many liberties throughout the piece. The cadenza at the end is mine.
Due to time constraints at this concert, this is an edited version, the piece is originally 16 minutes long, missing an entire movement.
