We use an 18 volt, UF (Underground Feeder) UL Listed for Direct Burial wire. The cable TV, electronic dog fence, sprinkler systems, all of these are below 48 volts and do not require the use of conduit as per the NEC Code Book. The Charm-Lite Transformer is protected by a resetable PTC fuse.
