We should leave the competition for the companies and just focus on the awesomeness of this game in both the Megadrive/Genesis and the Super Nintendo/Famicon.

MegaDrive version had more sound effects\voices. And runs little faster (Blast Proccesing).
Pick Up Plasma:
SNES: YIPPI (Just a same as pick up regular weapon)
MD: Plasma!
Unloack CheckPoint:
SNES: YIPPI! (Same as weapon)
MD: Owww. Yeeeah!
SNES version better graphic. MegaDrive speed and sound chip.
PC: Sega MegaDrive is Japan\Europe name. Sega Genesis is USA name.

In terms of background, the snes was WAY more detailed, but in terms of color genisis was better. If the snes version had the intestinal distress level,it wouldve won me over. That(and the music) is probably what makes this game better on genisis

i mean DANCES

i dont know but the animated garbage sub-boss dance like genesis version
It's kinda weird to see that a Genesis Version is better than a SNES version. I mean, for example, Jim says more things in the Genesis version, and in the SNES Version, he always says "YIPEE!". Also, the music is slightly better. The only cool thing about the SNES version are the backgrounds. That sunshine effect in the first level... I thought that was simply AWESOME.

Despite having less content, I thought the SNES was better. Id rather have quality over quantity, although which version has better music is a question of taste.
I was actually a little upset they released the Genesis version on VC as opposed to the SNES, but then I thought "who the hell cares, it's mother ****ing Earthworm Jim!!!"

Meh, they really ****ed up the GBA version, considering the the GBA is more powerful then the snes.

It was because they let majesco port it, and they broke the game into pieces when porting it
shalpp 10 months ago
@shalpp It was actually ported by Game Titan, a handheld shovelware company. Majesco only published.
