In his book, sportswriter John Eisenberg claims Doug DeCinces' game-winning homer on 6/22/1979 was the beginning of Oriole Magic...but I disagree. The ballgame shown in this very video takes place a full month earlier, on 5/22....clearly, Wild Bill Hagy was well-known enough at this point (witness Elrod's comments) that a local tv program did this story about him....I think the very atmosphere of the game itself clearly shows Oriole Magic to be in full swing.
