I dont think it's fair to compare fiscal responsibility during an election cycle to that of un-checked spending during an administration. I do agree that our system is completely flawed; I believe that we should switch capping donor-based money low, and allowing more parties to partake in the election cycle by getting a fair share of gov. money... but I dont know. These candidates (regardless of the mccain challenge to obama, which he later regretted) are just taking a system, and exploiting it.
Well spending is going to be based on how much money they can raise....thats the only reason to raise money for a campaign, to spend it. So the canidate who raised the most, Obama, obviously spent the most. Thats not necessarily a bad thing. One option is that campaigns should switch to state financing to keep spending down, which many people push for. Good video though.
obama raised the most because he had that whole campaign against lobbyists and even i gave him money because that's badass.
