You're right....the word means what it says, Phil. 2: 10-11, That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;

And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

It means exactly what the Holy Ghost said.

Looks pretty synonymous to me.

Those are the words of Jesus Himself.

Col. 2: 9, For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

He is very God. The bible plainly teaches that He thought it not robbery to be equal with God. He layed aside the royalty and title of God to become "Emanuel, God with us."

He's God...no denying that.

Yes, you might need to remind me of such scripture. Please remember that none of them are for open interpretation. Knees bow to kings, we lay face down flat on our belly when we worship God. We can't even kneel, let alone stand when we're in the presence of God. There is a difference. Let's not get into contention but simply agree that Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords & King of Kings & will return soon to establish God's Kingdom & rescue mankind from the adversary...

God & Lord are not synonymous. This is a perversion of modern churchianity. Jesus is the Almighty's most revered son. He is a man. He is Lord of Lords but not the Almighty True & Living God Himself. Jesus is The Almighty's most loved son. Neither should be idolised. There is a difference btwn idolatry & worship. Jesus should be worshipped as King of Kings, Lord of Lords, man above all others, God's #1 son, our saviour/hero but not the Creator (although He was there by God's side all along).
