The "National Cuisine" online exchange between high school students in the US and Turkmenistan gave the students a chance to exchange facts, opinions, and reflections on a key element of every culture: food. The American students hailed from Hatboro-Horsham High School outside Philadelphia; those from Turkmenistan from the capital city of Ashgabat. This informational video was the final phase of the exchange, as the Ashgabat students wrote, filmed, and edited this documentary about two famous Turkmen dishes: Polov and Manty. The National Cusine project was part of the Supporting Technology in Education program, implemented by the International Research and Exchanges Board (www.irex.com).
