I think, during that time, 2 shows go hand-in-hand. The programme is called 1+1 (yi jia yi). The first is usually the longer drama serial from 6.45pm to 7.30pm and the latter is something like Zhi Ma Lu Dou or Kopi-O, from 7.30pm to 8.00pm. Man I remember those days. After 8pm, I had to go back to my room to do my homework for the day. (But then there was the 9.30pm slot to look forward to as well).

No. The drama will start at 6.45pm because of Tamil news, its from 6.45pm to about 7.30pm to 7.40pm. And then shows like this will start airing.

thanks for the intro, I kinda forgot how they run the programs in the 80s. They got something called san1 kai1 shi1 jian1 or something. :)

Si Dai Tong Tang was one of the most memorable short series that ran for a few hundred episodes in the late 80s to early 90s. During those days, SBC will show the another main drama from 630pm-730pm followed by shorter dramas like this from 730pm-8pm. Fond memories and surprisingly I never get tired of watching it. Mediacorp should bring back this show one of these days.
