A short film directed by Ciro Altabás in 2002 and shot in Mini- DV around London, it's a fake documentary exploring strange but very real fears and how to deal with them.
"Phobia" has won more than 30 awards in festivals around the world, including Telluride Indiefest 2002 (Colorado, USA) Injuve 2002 (Madrid) Sitges Festival Internacional de Cinema de Catalunya 2002 (Brigadoon category) Festival Internazionale del Cortometraggio (Siena, Italy), Alcine 33 Festival de Cine de Alcalá de Henares / Comunidad de Madrid 2003, Cinemad '02 (Madrid) or La Boca del Lobo (Madrid) and was selected in the 59th Mostra Internazionale d'Arte Cinematográfica (Venice, Italy)

Definitivamente se nota que es de los primeros cortos de Ciro, pero aun así se pueden notar destellos de esa narrativa ágil y ese sentido del humor quirky que muestra más maduros en "DVD" y "Made in Japan", todo en camino hacia la que sería su obra maestra (hasta el momento): "Manual práctico del amigo imaginario (abreviado)".
No me encanta este corto (como todos los otros de Ciro) pero aun así es muy bueno.
