A group of students gathered outside of Sen. Hagan's office on Friday, 9/17 and performed a mock graduation to raise awareness on the urgency of the DREAM Act. These students have grown up in our state and have been educated alongside our other North Carolinian students and deserve an opportunity to become legalized after all of their hard work and sacrifices. The DREAM Act would provide certain undocumented students with the opportunity to earn permanent legal status if they came to the United States as children, have good moral character, finish high school or obtain a G.E.D., and complete two years of college or military service.
