Does anyone remember their first video game ever? I do and it was Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse for the Nintendo.
It was late at night and something was going on around the house I use to live in (bad neighborhood), so my older brother told me to stay in the room and don't come out until he came back. He then turned on the TV and then this game starts.
As a kid this terrified me. Somehow I understood that I was fighting zombies and creatures at the time, which didn't help with the situation at hand. But I didn't turn off the game and I continued playing. I was a tough little turd now that I think about it.
Anyway, this is the Famicom version of the game which was called "Devil's Castle Legend" over in Japan. Also, do you notice something different? You should because the music is plays differently. Apparently it's due to some chip that we couldn't place in the American carts at the time because of money.
So yeah, enjoy.

I actually *don't* remember my first video game ever, but it must have been one of my older brother's Atari 2600 games (maybe even the (in)famous Pitfall).
As for Castlevania, that's a series I mostly associate with the Gameboy (especially the rather awful Castlevania: The Adventure which I owned), but I do remember reading the magazine reviews of Castlevania 3 when that finally came out in Europe in late 1992 (!).

@Demiath That's funny because one of my favorite Castlevania's was Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge for the original gameboy. Would play that for hours.
Thank you Bill Nye The Science guy for showing us that you can recharge your batteries in the fridge.
