Where'd you get that wallpaper? That's really nice, I'd like that for my desktop. I used something similar to that at one time.

Do you mean it doesn't start on startup or even manually? If it doesn't either way, I would check to make sure visual effects is enabled to at least normal. If its on startup check sessions, and make sure it is in there.

i had awn on hardy, now i changed to 8.10, and my dock doesn't start (my screenlets do) any idea how to fix this? your desktop is great btw

As of hardy, it's in the universe repositories, so you can just do: sudo apt-get install avant-window-navigator. Alternatively you can install it with Synaptic, just search for AWN.

Is it me, awn seem to bug. I'm using cairo dock and i'm loving it.

I haven't really been having too many issues with it. I had a minor display issue that went away when I upgraded to nVidia beta driver 180.06, it was a little white line that would occasionally appear between the icons.
