SD40 Massey Theatre meeting 1

In the City of New Westminster, the School Board owns a 60-year old 1260-seat theatre that is one of only two theatres of this size in Metro Vancouver. The Massey Theatre was built at the same time as the high school and was put in the care of the School District. Now the School District wants to build a new high school, but they want to tear down the theatre to do so. At his meeting of the School Board on Tuesday, October 27, 2009, citizens of New Westminster express their concerns about School Board actions to date and about their plans for the future.
