*** Video notes

December 11th 2008, day 211 / Green Mountains / Plugging in overnight at an automobile repair shop / Hesitant owner due to "permit-happy" city which might fine him for not having a permit to run a campground! / People snitching / Perhaps the campground owners who have jumped thru the hoops would be the ones snitching? / Govt getting other people to do it's dirty work / Snitching over taxes, building permits, smoking in restaurants / People telling on other people who are brave enough to not follow government laws, because they're too cowardly and envious of them / Slaves on the Plantation Syndrome / Slaves turning other escaping slaves in / Modern day slaves / It's sad that the people turning others in, often don't like the law themselves, but are just upset that they ended up following it / Time to take a stand together against the govt, and join in when someone decides to disobey it, rather than turning them in / 12.09 miles for liberty / http://Donate.WalkForLiberty.com / Iceman Will

*** About the Walk For Liberty

What are you willing to do for freedom?

Vote? Protest? Participate in a rally? Walk all the way across the country?

We are.

This summer, a group of activists will be walking across America to achieve more freedom and liberty.

Our pioneer forefathers trekked across the continent from the east to the west to find a better life for themselves. This time, we're doing it in reverse.

I am walking coast-to-coast across the country, from Oregon to New Hampshire. I am joined by my immediate family as well. We're on a quest to gain more freedom for ourselves and for our country by spreading the message of freedom and liberty along the way.

Why are we doing this?

We see the gradual chipping away at freedoms in America, and want to do our part to stop it. My wife and I are moving to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project. New Hampshire is already the freest state in the country, which is why we are moving there. But we also want to help bring more freedom to as many other people as possible.

Therefore we are walking across America to get to New Hampshire. We are walking all the way there to bring as much media attention and publicity as possible to two liberty-oriented causes: the Free State Project, which is working to make New Hampshire even more free, and Ron Paul's message of freedom for everyone. The bearing of arms without need of a permit. It's not a perfect state, but it does it's good points.

  • Your comment about cowardly snitches sums up how Afro-Americans stereotypically view Euro-American culture. It is of course just a generalization yet it plays out a lot. We all know that snitches come in all colors, but it is very ingrained in Euro-American culture to respect 'law' despite how counter-freedom and unintelligent it may be. Lawbreakers are viewed as despicable sinners. Hence, I like your video and even your comparison with what I would call the 'good' slave syndrome.

  • I love weather like that!

  • Fuckin nanny state. Why can't people just mind their own business? You've got regulation-happy liberals on one side and the religious right on the other.

  • You need a permit just to operate a campground??? WTF! Do permits even prevent anyone, esp. abusers of the law, from doing such-and-such activity? It seems pointless, just another way for the gov't to extract money from you since it can't stop spending and balance its budget.

I mean, it's not like the gov't puts microchips on citizens with permits to make sure they're not "doing anything illegal." Anyone with a permit can still violate the law and go to the extreme.

  • heh, you are caught up on your video editing. Can you film an editing session and post some of it? The way you compose your thoughts, I am guessing that you sometimes do several "takes"? How do you compose your thoughts?
