Thank you for this great video on Energy mediicine. We have come full circle from the ancient traditions of "woo woo", vibrationally-based medicine, to the Western "scientfically proven medicine" which is limited only to the physical realms which they call objectivity, back to today's New Age Energy Medicine. A great read I recommend is Richard Gerber's book, Vibrational Medicine, to catch up to the 21st Century.
I would not turn anyone away from energy medicine, but it should only be used as an accessory to scientifically proven ("western") medicine. I tried it once and liked the effect on my memory and peace of mind.
@whichypoohs What's your problem whichypoohs? Feeling threatened and insecure when not everyone is as limited in outlook as you? When you open with insults it really does give the game away.
@num3ric Very respectful replies numric, with a degree of open-mindedness I wasn't expecting. I will surely look at the link you've sent me.Menwhile I suggest you do look at the scientific studies done on alternative medicines (which are only 'alternative' now, should really be called ancient medicines).I have some links and references that I will post so you can see to what extent science is discovering we are more than the 'biological machine' model. Some of it you may find is paradigm shifting
@num3ric Arrogance my friend is the default position of the skeptical mind, only outweighed by it's ignorance. You expect things to conform to your fixed view of the world and when they don't it's 'mumbo jumbo'. Yet I would like to know if you have actually consistently tried any alternative healing? Or is it that you feel threatened by the fact that things might not actually fucntion as you expect. If you haven't tried because it's all silly then you are hardly qualified to comment, right?
@num3ric Yes people and societies thrived all across the planet, what you mention are the typical stereoypes that reduce 100,000s of years of human history to a 'Dark Age' before the arrival of Western medicine, nonsense! Why do countless scientific studies demonstrate the efficacy of 'alternative medicine'? Why do many hospitals and clinics around the world now include Acupuncuture and Reiki in their treatments? What is the placebo effect, THINK ABOUT IT, a suagr pill curing illness? How?
