  • @kayakfishin4life Do you mean the float? This was done in a river so the current is pulling the float.

  • Hi, what type of cleat are you using to hold the rope?

  • @melant444 I'm using a zig-zag cleat. They can be found at most boating stores. The ones I'm using are plastic and they're mounted with stainless steel bolts with large washers on the inside of the kayak. Jam cleats work nicely too. Thanks for watching!

    I'm using a 8 lb mushroom style anchor and 1/4" hollow core poly rope. I have the rope in 40 ft. lengths and can add/remove them on the water depending on depth. Here I'm only using one length since it's less than 20 feet.
