Trentemøller's super-chilled "The Forest" in high definition 5.1 surround sound audio.

Special note goes to my dear friend Caroline Blair, though I'm not quite sure what the special note is, I just wanted to mention her, hey Caz!

  • 8 people has no subwoofer

  • It's simply massive song

  • tell Caz i said wuddupp

  • @esterritaa They have to be trolls - there is no other explanation.

  • it is a good track, but sadly its not 5.1 :)

ofcourse if you use a speaker fill option you will hear from all ^^

  • @jakeweiq

    - practicality. unless most video streaming/hosting sites specifically provide cinema experience to watchers at home, streaming surround sound is a bit overkill XD and most of us donno how to mix audio in surrond format (5.1 or 7.1 etc)

  • @starwarsguy9 probably.. a few reason why streaming surround sound is still not common:

    - bandwidth restriction.. (in some countries like US the subscrition fee is still very ex.)

    - non-surrond sound supporting gadgets (most of us don think about surround sounds when we buy laptops and/or tablet PCs and/or smart phones.. as long as we can view video with sound we're much happy w/ it... unlike so-called audiophiles :D)

  • @jakeweiq, well, it is possible to stream video with surround sound, I beive the blender movie sintel can be streamed with surround audio. Your probably right about the youtube compression though, a bit too bad, the site should add an "audio only" vid quality setting, one high bitrate and the other streaming quality, it would save bandwidth and make users happy. Win win.

  • @starwarsguy9 not too sure.. by far haven't come across vid(s) that is uploaded higher than 1080p AND with surround sound.. nor have i heard of video hosting sites streaming vids w/ surround sound

but i will still say it will be compressed to 2 ch stereo anyway, even if substantial amount of ppl says yt support surround sound
