Rep. Shea-Porter: Final Energy Independence and Security Act

The House debates a motion to concur in the Senate amendments to H.R. 6, the Energy Independence and Security Act. House passage of the bill sends it to the President's desk, and the White House has indicated that the President will sign the bill. The legislation: Strengthens national security, by lessening our dependence on foreign oil; Reduces global warming; Lowers energy costs for consumers; And creates hundreds of thousands of new jobs and strengthens our economy.
