Laura Faley of Hidden Meadow Ranch of Mount Vernon, Wash., talks about raising chickens for meat and finding a market for them at the Skagit County, Wash. Fair. Capital Press video by Cookson Beecher
Cornish cross I've heard is not a very rugged chicken. During the summer when there outside from what I've red they may not make it. Might make a good chicken to raise in the fall and winter though. In the winter barn coop.
@breeforbreakfast ya' know...after reading your comment, I went and asked some chickens about how they felt about this very subject...from what I could tell, they really don't care at all - they ignored me and pretended I was wasn't even trying to communicate with them. I would think given the chance to 'speak' on such an important subject that they would have much to say...but no, not a word. And YOU invoking the the punishment of damnation is blasphemy, which every Christian knows....
@breeforbreakfast Folks have gotta eat. Better to raise meat animals in your backyard and know they lived well than to buy neatly packaged hunks of meat from some factory farm. The world's not about to go vegetarian, so why not do things right?

So cruel. Laura Faley needs to burn in hell, then maybe she will know how these chickens feel.
