  • In 1941 the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in anticipation of destroying our navy yet they were not prepared to invade. WHY? After the surrender of the Japanese the their officials were asked why. Invading an armed civilian population would have been extremely costly.

If your a woman who apposes gun ownership you should be aware of what a nation like Japan did to weekly armed nations they did invade, search "Rape of Nanking", try wikipedia.

    Go ahead, I dare you.

  • It depends dude, the US has so many imports and exports that it's really too simple to break it down into what you'd rather have. Who's selling the parts for the guns? Where are our guns coming from? How much corn are we buying from others? No nation, our size, is self-sufficient nowadays.

  • remember ur economics...finite resources...you can really only either produce guns or corn efficiently....which one DO YOU WANT

  • streetfightspdx......everything in America is cheaper

  • @HolyBullTV

that obviously flew over your head because it's cheaper to buy guns in other countries....everything is expensive in America....so that arguement is totally flawed in so many ways.....

  • People spend on a ton on Fast Food too...

Guns are a good Investment It's Better than investing in clogged arteries.

here's some old statistics: the National Restaurant Association forecasted that fast food restaurants in the U.S. would reach $142 billion in sales in 2006. In comparison, the full-service restaurant segment of the food industry is expected to generate $173 billion in sales.Guns are one of the few things that keep the U.$. government on a shorter leash than some countries.

  • The study took exchange rates into consideration, converting the military spending of all of the countries in question into dollars.

  • It is a flawed argument due to exchange rates. A new rifle for the US military lists is booked at $1000. The chinese equivelent is at their cost of production on the order of $10. Same for Jets, missiles etc.

  • saved a guy in Kosovo yet no money to save the millions of homeless living in tents.

First of all 500 billion a year on military is borrowed money so calculate the interest and it is much higher.

    there is no more enemies

also do not forget for ever 1$ china spends on military,America needs to spend 100$ on graft

and 100$ on the items required.

its a business and like Ike said beware of the Industrial War Complex

  • ok this is how the two fronts looked for the allied side when we invaded france to free it. in the north part you had the canadas and the british and the poland. and in the south it was ALL the USA baby so don't try to tell me that if germany had Europe we would not stand a chance. and Hitler would have never gotten mother Russia becaues the weather changed to much and the Red Army was a force to fear. and for the one who worte about hte A bomb the planet doesn't have a say in what goes on here.
