This isn't what I'd call "early ZZ Top." Early ZZ Top is 1969-1971, something like that Nice posting, tho. Thanks for this, for what it is......

This wasn't that early - Cheap Sunglasses came quite a bit into their careers... You want early... Rio Grande Mud w "Chevrolet" et al.

I saw ZZ Top in Philly at the Spectrum in about 79 or 78, can't quite remember. I sat about 3 rows back in a folding chair, unfortunatley, I was two sheets to the wind on some Jack, and even a couple lines of crank wouldn't help. I passed out about 4 songs in. That said, I do remember them being dressesd and sounding like this, it was the best ZZ TOP ever! That late 70's early eighties was sooo good. And now, listening to their early recodings I can see this was the peak. Gotta be on the edge.

"ZZ TOP (early)". My Idea of early ZZ Top is about 1969 when Billy had baby fat cheeks, no facial hair, hair down on the shoulders & small round horn-rim script glasses.
