I have a question, is this DVD recommended for beginners? I really know little about guitar playing and I think he is great, but I dont want to buy something that will be of no use to me now. Any clips out there of his lessons? I just want to see if I can keep up with the base, and if I can, I am definitely buying it!

One more question. I got an acoustic guitar and found out that the string tension is much much higher than my classical one.... What string do you recommend for fingerstyle guitar? Is it going to be safe to buy extra light strings? These high tension strings seems like cut my fingers......

I hve a question maybe you can help me with..I have been playing fingerstyle for about 10 years..doing mostly covers when playing out. Just in the past 3 months it is as if my fingers have began to pull up towards my palm when I play instead of falling back down. I have tried to relax but songs that I had under my finger perfectly I know struggle with..have you ever heard of this. I did play mostly strumming songs for a few months, could my finger have forgotten how to finger pick?

@lerlo I would say most fingerstyle players read tab and most fingersyle music is written in tab format. To be completely honest with you I read whatever I can find to play a song lol. So really as it is on a guitar you can find both tab and musical notation :)
