  • After you make the lift hill and first drop, how to do adjust the intial settings for the new segment to make some of the elements like the camel back, zero-g roll, etc?

  • I'm not sure what you mean. You shouldn't have to change anything after you make the lift hill and first drop, since the setting from the previous section get propagated to the next one.

  • At 8:19, is it acceptable to just jerk up from 1g's to the 3g's instantly? I know you were working on the camel back and Stengel dive, but I was just curious as to if that's normal.

  • That's a good point that I forgot to mention...the launch was done just for the sake of convenience. The initial parameters that are used here correspond to values you'd likely find at the bottom of a hill.

  • Great tut, but just on a side note of Newton layout. Why'd you choose to do m/s instead of km/h or mph? m/s isn't used in No Limits at all.

  • Because m/s is SI; additionally, this way users on both sides of the Atlantic will be equally disoriented. :)

  • Hey entropy, I just started making an Intamin wooden pre-fab, when I realized I hadn't changed the friction setting from default, and I don't know what a good setting is for wooden coasters. Please reply, thanks!

  • I have a question! Newton worked with me, however after playing it 3 times the text turned into squares so I couldn't read anything!! so insted of seeing (curved section) I saw (#########) any idea how I can solve this problem?

  • The settings don't work for me when I get to the stengel dive

  • I got the camel back easily, but the Stengel did not turn out very well at all, and I'm not sure why, maybe my settings were off...? =/

  • umm problem again I made the first drop, and put all the speed and stuff in, but when I go to the multi-force zone the stuff didn't go over or whatever

  • @calakape: Because m/s is basically the "default" unit for physics when it comes to speed. And I believe Newton2 has a lot to do with physics ;)
