  • Can anyone help me with this problem? Please? I have tried every site I could find. The problem is :

    Solve for the zeros: (x^6) - (6x^3) - 27

    Thank you

  • @timidteen4 You can use a substitution: Let u = x^3 so the problem becomes u^2 - 6u - 27 = 0 then you can factor: (u-9)(u+3) = 0 so u=9, u=-3 and u is x^3, so x^3 = 9, x^3 = -3 so x is the cube root of 9 or the cube root of -3 and both of those solutions check out. Voila!
