Brennah was only seven when she was in a head-on collision with a semi trailer. She was flown by helicopter to Lucile Packard Children's Hospital (LPCH). After several months at LPCH where she had 22 procedures, including nine major surgeries and about nine transfusions of fresh frozen plasma and red blood cells, Brennah is doing well.
Her mom, Heather, knows why blood donors are so critical. "I've been on the other side," she says. "Sometimes you think you're only one person and that one unit of blood won't make a difference, but drop by drop, it all makes a difference. We're so grateful."
Brennah may look familiar to many of our donors. She has spoken at a couple of our recent events, and her story is a part of our First-Time Donor Kit.
