  • A true Van Halen fan likes VAN HALEN, in ANY incarnation. You people who are like "I love Dave, I'm a true VH Fan" you are a fucking retard. That makes you a Dave fan, not a Van Halen fan. Both were amazing, WERE, Dave can't pull it off anymore, I think Sammy does his own music well today but I guess he can't pull of VH stuff anymore. They were both great, stop being children.

  • @PoundcakePlaysMW2 So true

  • I hate the Sammy\Dave wars they both created a different feel. I like them both and don't feel the need to slam one or the other. Sammy is a much better singer than Dave but Dave is one hell of a showman.

  • @fubartattoos Amen to that!

  • @fubartattoos, when a band changes the singer, or an important musician, it's a new band, so I agree with you. I think that Van Halen sounded more hard with Dave. Sometimes a little bluesy. The Sammy era is really a new one, the songs are more pop, even though I love both Sammy and Dave eras. I think the only mistake Eddie did was that of inviting Gary to sing. I think that in Van Halen 3 album there are lots of nice ideas for compositions, but Gary was not the right singer for V.H.

  • @ricmgrande Nicely put!

  • Holy shit when Sammy hit that first note in "contact", I bout freaked! What a strong freakin voice! Like a polished razor blade..

  • I'm a Sammy fan.. sorry. it's not even about Van Halen.. they never would have had me without the Red Rockers Voice.. and no disrespect to VH, but I would love to see Sammy inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame separate the band.

  • david lee roth is the best¡¡¡

  • @ricmgrande Gary looks like the butler/chauffeur in Addams family lol!

  • @ricmgrande I think it wouldn't have mattered who they brought in after Sammy. When Dave left, they got very lucky to get a guy that fit so well in Sammy. You don't get that lucky twice. And for all of Gary's good qualities pre-Van Halen, I think he tried far to hard to sound like Sammy part 2 on Van Halen III.

  • @fubartattoos Shame we cant combine the 2. Sammy's voice with Dave's live showmanship. Would have the absolute perfect lead singer...

  • god sake its all opinion. if im honest, my opinion on vh singers is sammy > gary > dave, but then you have vh singers showmanship, which would be dave > sammy > gary, and the songs that were released when they were at the front (which is the most important) being sammy = dave > gary

  • Guys, BOTH Dave and Sammy are awesome, and both brought their own unique talents to the band. If you're a VH fan, then you can recognize this and love the band, no matter what incarnation.

  • It,s Funking Van Halen, I got over the break up along time ago ,they all rule to keep it the goog work ,Rock on Dude!

  • @zachattack969 I think the same.
