AMD Radeon HD 6990 [OC] Mini Review

I recorded some games, and furmark temps and noise of new AMD Radeon flagship card.

Card is overclocked @ 920/1320Mhz, without voltage increase, bios switch is on position 1 (ausum, oc mode) so voltage is 1.175V.

Games (benchmarks) used: Alien Vs. Predator, Crysis Warhead, Metro 2033.
Furmark 1.9.0. [If you cant see temps in video they are 84c and 85c]

Test System:

Intel Core i7 2600k @ 4.5Ghz
Gigtabyte P67A-UD7
2x2GB Kingston HyperX DDR3 2333Mhz
Cooler Master Silent Pro 800W Gold PSU
Tested on Windows 7 OS with new Catalyst 11.4 Preview drivers.

So many people getting a 6990 for 1080p. Im getting a 6990 because im running 5760x1080. The 6990 is kind of wasted at 1080p.

@XxBulletXPtoofxX Im running my card at 925/1375 right now, Because i run it with a 6970 for a 3 way crossfire, And that's all my 6970 will do with the stock 1.175v. My 6990 will do 960/1375 on the stock 1.175v. Im running a XSPC RX360 watercooling kit with a EK 6990 waterblock with a added RX120 rad, and a i7 2600K @4.8GHz. My pc is in my basement so it's always cool. 70f or 21c or lower room temp. But my 6990 has never been over 60c since its was water cooled, Even overclocked to the max.

@XxBulletXPtoofxX The temperature of my 6990? With the stock air cooler 70-80c when pushing it, But my 6990 is water cooled with a EK waterblock now. It's never gone over 60c at 1015/1475 at 1.25v on a hot day.

@mennogamer559 Bullshit, overclock that E8500 past 4.0 Ghz, and this processor still rocks! I had it in combination with a HD 4890 and the only game where this CPU does bottleneck, is in GTA IV.
